Movie Industry – Bollywood

Bullying is a common behavior among many people around the world, and it does not matter which country, race or religion you come from. It’s become the norm. Many kids get bullied at school, young ones get bullied at Universities, at workplaces and sometimes within their families. Based on many research around the world, depression is one of the symptoms of bullying. Do his own people bully Sushant Singh Rajput?

Sushant Singh Rajput

As we all know by now, he was one of the loved actors in Bollywood Cinema, but we all lost him too early. He died by hanging himself, and everyone suspects the leading cause of his death was depression. Police have found medication used to treat depression at his apartment. Even many said that he was feeling low and edgy. Sushant father K K Singh told police that his son would often feel “low”, but he did not know why he was depressed. Even his brother Shweta Singh Kirti said: “ I know you were in much pain and I know you were a fighter and you were bravely fighting it”. Also, lawyer Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed a case against a couple of film directors as Sushant was removed from seven films in six months and few of the movies he acted in were not released. He believes the actor went through a lot of pain inside. Some moviemakers and actors mocked him in many situations such as gossip-chat clubs and award shows. There were messages on Instagram and other media channels that these stories are not real, but I believe there won’t be a smoke without a fire.

Filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor posted this on twitter

Filmmaker Anubhac Sinha said this on twitter

Sushant Singh talked about nepotism and actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Ayesha Takia, Kangana Ranaut and many more. After his death, many campaigned against nepotism in the film industry and demanded to boycott movies of the people who follow nepotism.

Bullying Vs Nepotism

Bullying is someone who seeks to harm another person or intimidate. Nepotism is a practice among people with power or influence of favouring relatives or friends. I do not see a difference between these two as it goes hand in hand. Nepotism is part of bullying.

Why do people act this way?

In my view, it is their insecurity. To overcome their vulnerability, these bullies use their power to others. They think it’s power, but it’s not, it’s stupidness. In the film industry, this is common. A lot of young people dream of becoming an actor or actress, but they do not realise or are not prepared for future challenges like competition, cut-throat and backstabbing incidents like Sushant. As an example, if they are a child of a famous actor/actress but do not have the talent and there is someone who got the talent but came from an average family, obviously they will attack the talented person. So the main reason for their behaviour is their insecurity.

Support for Depression

As I have mentioned before, depression is the result of bullying or nepotism. If someone is feeling low for a long time, their family and friends are the first that can help them. They should discuss the issues that they are going through and refer to a doctor. Also, a good thing to do is to share ideas with people who are going through the same issues. This way, they can understand that they are not alone in this world.

So what is your opinion on this? Do you believe bullying or nepotism is a result of Sushant Khan’s death or was it a murder? The decision is yours….

(This blog is based on the facts provided in recent articles about Sushant Singh Rajput and not particularly bias on anyone)
