Test Format

To sit for a PTE Academic Test, you are required to attend a Pearson test center, where you will use a computer and headset to listen, read and respond to questions.

It is a three-hour test, focusing on 3 parts : speaking & writing, reading and listening.

Part 1: Speaking & Writing(77 – 93 minutes)

• Personal introduction

• Re-tell lecture

• Answer short question

• Summarize written text

• Essay (20 mins)

Part 2: Reading (32 – 41 minutes)

• Multiple choice, choose single answer

Part 3: Listening (45 – 57 minutes)

• Summarize spoken text

How to prepare?

To score well at your exam, it’s best to prepare beforehand. By visiting, you are able to go through a range of preparation practices including offline practice tests,  official course books, preparation courses and important exam tips for you to keep in mind.

Registration Process

Once you have gone through the preparation materials, it’s time to book your exam. However, it is essential that you posses an acceptable identification documents (ID, Passport). Once your booking is confirmed, you will be notified of the secured study center that you are able to do the exam.
