When is WWDC 2020?
WWDC Special Event Keynote will kick off on June 22nd at 10.00 am PDT ( 10.30 pm Sri Lankan time)
What to makes WWDC 2020 special
“Now in its 31st year, WWDC20 will be the biggest WWDC to date, bringing together the global Apple developer community of more than 23 million in an unprecedented, virtual way, from June 22 to 26.” – WWDC20
How to catch the live Event?
What to expect at WWDC 2020
WWDC is where Apple typically releases their latest updates to iOS, iPadOS, macOS, TVOS, and WatchOS. Nevertheless Apple has released their new hardwares such as iPhones, iPads etc on WWDC too. Releasing a new device usually happens in the September WWDC event. Therefore in this keynote which is happening today they will be releasing mainly the latest updates for their softwares.
There are rumors around all the tech spaces that Apple plans to release ARM-powered Macs and move away from Intel processors. This announcement should at this event given Apple has been working on this technology for years, giving developers time to rework applications.
Apple will give out all the news on Platform State of the Union on WWDC 2020 June Event. This sessions are more developer focused. These sessions will be on how Apple Engineers go over the key software changes that the third party developers should know.
In addition for the main keynote they will conduct over 100 engineering sessions virtually posing videos every day between June 23rd and June 26th at 10.00 am PDT (10.30 pm Sri lankan time)
Lastly, Apple will be offering 1-on-1 developer labs by appointment only throughout the week.
Let us know in the comments which event you are looking forward to in WWDC 2020.
My favorite is the launch of ARM-powered Macs.
